is Copper/Purple Beech safe as i have dog who will eat anything

i want hedge of the back garden first with chicken wire and grow Copper/Purple Beech to cover it but dont want to kill the dog

we have beech trees all around the garden boundary and next door's dog doesnt seem affected. and it also eats everything.
