I am trying to grow a Virginia Creeper against a stone wall it has the little tendril bits to hold on with but it just doesn't grip the wall. I have grown them before against brick walls with no problems. What is wrong with it?

Nothing - most of them don't cling when they're small, that only happens after it grows on a bit. In the meantime, give it some support with canes or whatever, until the growth higher up starts to attach itself.

In my experience, if it doesn't attach in the first year, cut it back to the ground and feed it in the spring, and the vigorous new growth will attach.

How do I say thanks?
