Hi Andrea, Rose Cottage at High Hoyland near Barnsey is a very beautiful garden I have visited once or twice at different times of the year, the last time was in February they have a snowdrop day, but at this time of year the garden is full of roses, its in a lovely setting looking over beautiful countryside. Its open next on the 24th june, you can go on the ngs website and type in the areas you are interested in and it brings up all the gardens in that area and gives directions and maps.

Andrea I have posted a couple of photos of rose cottage they are of the garden in winter and still very beautiful. I won't be able to visit this month as I am going to open gardens in Cawthorne village also very near rose cottage on the same weekend. Cawthorne open lots of gardens but it isn't for the ngs I believe they do it for the church funds or something, their gardens are really lovely and varied.

Hi, I've added Rose Cottage to our visits section (plus a link to the garden on The NGS website). It's now shown on the map and you can link your photos to the garden! If you want to find more, The NGS website is at www.ngs.org.uk and has all their gardens listed with opening dates.

Suggest you get hold of the Yellow Book(NGS) that will list all the gardens in every county ,they were on sale at a reduced price at Chelsea and will probably be on sale at Gardeners World Live at the NEC,if you can't get there try WH Smiths.
