Re: Sassafras albidum. Is this the American sassafras that has a pungent smell in the autumn? Grows along roadsides in the midwest? Would this shrub survive on Anglesey, North Wales?

Hello, according to Google (Burncoose Nursery website) this species of tree can withstand -15C. You may need to check out soil/light/dampness etc conditions.

Doesn't appear to be particularly fussy about soil, etc. Reaches 86 feet in height though...
