Duck behaving oddly.

Sorry not a gardening question as such but happening in the garden so perhaps someone can help.Female mallard has been regular visitor for some weeks.Flew in this am walking very awkwardly at first thought might be injured but not distressed eating and drinking - dragging herself heavily when moving she about to lay?

Sounds as though she's not well and needs to recuperate. Hope she's OK though.

Thank you both spent day here and now flown off hear of ducks laying their eggs in all sorts of strange places wondered if this normal behaviour.

I'm no expert but I do know that sometimes they cannot pass the egg or the egg is broken or damaged inside the bird...sid may be right with the predator idea too... hope she comes back...and is ok>

Oh dear, Bonkers, that doesn't sound good. I don;t know what's wrong with her - maybe she's had a runin with a preditor? Or flown into a window or something? Poor thing :-(
