damaged phlox

a wild rabbit has eaten the tops of two phlox, will these re-grow?

Answers
Slugs nibble the new growth on mine every year but they always outgrow the attack and flower. Perhaps some temporary netting to protect them would help?

with any luck they should grow back, as long as the roots haven't been damaged
