Hi....Thrre years ago I planted five trees inc acer, silver birch and a crimson king. All have done exceptionally well except for the crimson king. It is the first to blossom but then goes downhill. It has failed to develop as the others The leaves appear unhealthy, sparse and curl. The tree is now approx 20 metres high. Any advice please....Mike

Acer platonoides Crimson King prefer wet soil. I think that where you have it may be too dry and that is a cause of the leaf curl. They prefer light soil that is constantly damp. It may also be too close to the other trees. A feed and removal of any plants or weeds around the base of the tree will also help.
