We went round the Winter gardens at Dunham Massey yesterday and saw a lot of Iris reticulata forms growing in the lawns.
I wondered if growing them this way would increase/decrease the chances of them increasing in number and or flowering the following season.
Also wondered if growing Crocus in grass lessened/increased the chances of them being gobbled up by mice?

I wouldn't have thought it would make any difference to the irises Owdb.

« Galanthus..Can anyone ID this one please, it's leaves are three or four times...
I can only comment on the crocus - in my part of London, planting them in lawns did not, unfortunately, deter squirrels from digging them up and eating them.
