some of my stored dalia tubers have shrivelled up with just one or two pieces still firm. Would it help if I soaked them?

Cut off all the shrivelled bits. Dahlia tubers can be sawn right through. As long as you have part of the stem attached to the firm part of the tuber you will be OK. The stem must be firm though....if it is soft at the crown then they won't produce cuttings.

No harm in trying. Better to put them in a pot of soil and soak that and leave it in a frost free place for a few weeks and start them off.
