We grow a number of Sempervivum (House - Leeks) both in pots and in the garden. They are suitable for indoors but don't want to get too hot. A bright front porch is ideal. They are very accomodating plants and just want a gritty, well drained compost that is not too rich. The compost should not be allowed to dry out but neither should it be very wet. Good light is important.
