Anyone able to put a name to this? We have always thought it was a low growing, not invasive, yellow/creamy white Comfrey (Symphytum) but is it?

it is in deed one of the symphytums. I have similar with a pink tip.

Got one here that looks very similar in size - flowers on ours have a slightly blueish tinge in places. Always believed it was a form of comfrey (symphytum)

I've had this too - it is a Symphytum. Very useful ground cover in shade.
