Getting rid of weeds on the lawn

Thank you all very much for your help in the soil question - i did have clay but all the weeds are now out!
Now my problem is the lawn. I have managed to get a lawn mower over it over the weekend.
I do want to 're-do' the garden but what with the expense of moving I think I can only afford a 'tidy' garden this year, so re turfing isn’t really an option this year. I would really like to make the most of the lawn we have at the moment but it has a lot of weeds and what looks like clover?!? Any ideas on getting the grass back? I think I might have a problem with moss too according to a neighbour this is because the garden is NE facing so the left side of the garden is very shady.

Verdone I find is the best on the lawns I have. Around £12 a litre at Garden centres. Apply between April and August.

Jeez, Doc. Where do you do your shopping? I bought 3 litres yesterday for £10.99. (unless of course, you use a different formulation).
I've got quite a few weeds too, Dannielle, lol.

oh dear think i was robbed then i paid £3.99 for 250ml i do have to water it down though 15 ml in 5l of water. will be trying this product in a few days

Llew, are you sure you are talking Verdone.
Around £12 a litre at garden centres. I buy bulk trade on all my sundries, I won't tell you what I pay. I can't quote for all over the country.

Llew, A 3 litre bottle with a spray gun will not be concentrated, just ready for use. Concentrated is 15ml. to 5 litres of water as Nstressful said, but as he buys the 250ml. smaller size it will work out more expensive.

clover actualy makes for a healthier lawn believe it or not .most garden centres stock weed killers for lawns
