Hello...I wonder if anyone could give me any advice on how to rid my border of bluebells? They've been coming every year since we moved here, and take over everything. We have tried digging out the bulbs, but have obviously missed some each time, so they still reappear. Any ideas?

You've got bluebells, Plumhues, you've got bluebells. I dig them out every year and the next year they are back again!

tough one - there's no answer other than to relentlessly dig them out when you see them appear, trying very hard to get all the offset bulbs out too. And never let them flower and set seed - they spread by seed as well.

there lovley cant you plant bigger plants in the middle of them and they will either die or make a lovley colourfull mulch .

Thanks for the support - good to know I'm not just struggling because I'm an amateur. And I didn't realise they seed as well...I'll get to them straight away! I do agree that they're lovely, Noseypotter, but they don't seem to sit right where they are - if only I had a little copse out back...

Thanks again. x

I'm already fed up digging them out - persistent little devils, been digging them out for at least 5 years... there are fewer, but they're still popping up here and there.
