Hi, I have a Lavender bush (see pic). A neighbour told me that at this time of year I should lop the spindly bits at the top of it off . Is this correct? If so, how much do I lop off? Thanks for any info.

Can be pruned twice a year. In springtime, prune to about 4 to 6 inches of greenery but not into old wood as it will not re-generate. Then again after flowering.

Go over it with the shears or secateurs, removing all the dead stuff and about an inch of foliage.
