I have a Rhubarb which is just over a year old and I would like to pick some, but I have been told to cut it off rather than pull it out as the plant is only a year old n can someone tell me if this correct or not ?

Try pulling one - use a sideways twist as you pull. I have to say I found it didn't work on mine during its first year, had to cut, but this year I've pulled some already.
