I have an Ivy that has grown into a bush planted before I moved here - my neighbours are complaining that the Ivy is growing into their garden. The bush itself is about 15 feet from their garden and growing behind my shed (the bush is in front of it. How do I get rid of it completely.

Cut a line 1ft. above the main root/roots, if they are big enough drill out a hole in the centre and fill it with Rid-a-root, plug the top of the hole with putty. You will have leaves everywhere for some time i'm afraid.

Ooooeeerr!!!! Gemini, I feel for you. I have an ivy growing up the front of my house and I've been pulling and chopping at it for years. Did a bit more this aft', just pulled it all away from the main root.
It's a nightmare to get rid of. All I can suggest is that you find the main root, and chop everything you can off it. As the shoots die, you should/may be able to pull them away from whatever it's got hold of. Try bleach, boiling water or even salt on the root. I'm not saying any of that will work though.
Hopefully, somebody'll be along to give you a better idea. Either way, good luck with it.
