2 Questions please...
I have recently purchased a peace lily and I am following the advice which has been offered on here, I went to cut a dead flower off today and realised the flower is actually attached to the main leaf stem so I had to cut the stem of as well, I cut it off as far at the bottom as I could, is this the correct way to do this.
Also plug plants.... Before you plant these are you supposed to remove the very fine black stuff which it is grown in? Many thanks

Thanks Bamboo, the leaf is really big and beautiful and I thought it such a shame to have had to have cut it off, I will remember that for next time

If you mean the peat compost its rooted into, no, you pot that on.
As far as Peace lily flowers are concerned, I usually take out the flowered stem as low as possible, without cutting the leaf its growing out of.
