I think the top left hand one is one of the Santolina (Cotton Lavender) not sure about that I had one a greyish leaved shrub, some have very green leaves..
Top right hand one is Silverweed (Potentilla anserina) (Rosaceae) a creeping plant spreads by root runners. I don't know that this is a herb but you will find it in a lot of the old gardens I think it had medicinal properties.
The Bottom one is one of the Artemisia group (Old Man) I have always known it as. I have it, a small round shrub, very strong smell if you crush the leaves, I love it , a compact strong smelling shrub purely as ornamental there again I don't know about being a herb. I cut it back fairly hard each year and keep it a good shape. I will put a picture of the Silverweed on my photos.

Many thanks for your helpful reply!

I bought these things so was discombobulated at not remembering! However, Santolina definitely rings a bell, thanks.

As a herb, top right is (I checked books and then remembered) Tansy http://www.thetansycentre.org.uk/page7.html - the habit is quite upright, and the leaves of all are pungent

Bottom is as you say Artemisia Southernwood is in that group - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southernwood
