Daphne Odora Aureomarginata dropping yellow leaves!

Any suggestions as my Daphne that I brought in December last year has started dropping yellow leaves frequently and on some of the leaves still on the shrub have gone black at the ends. Some of the dropped leaves have some brown speckles on them but other than that nothing seems wrong. Any suggestions?

Hi Moon grower, the Daphne is in a pot and yes unfortunately it was in an area that was covered in snow just in January/February this year.

Then the only thing to do is to cosset it for now and see what happens -

You say you bought it in December, is it planted in the ground or in a tub? Did you have a lot of cold, wet and frost?
