Does anyone have any ideas what I could do with this area.I would like to create a quiet sitting area but would also like lots of tall colour...Is there any summer bulbs that would grow here its sunny in the morning but then very shady the rest of the day...I love gladioli but would it be too shady...I have just taken this pic at 8.15am..I know it looks rather unpleasant at the moment..but I'm on a mission :)

Heucherers would be happy there if the soil was enriched and the shrubs tidied up at a suitable time for cutting them. Some bulbs for spring colour. I suspect summer blooming bulbs might like more sun than might be available. Taller plants that don't mind a bit of shade could be Penstemons according to variety. They bloom for ages if dead headed.
