And mine, but its a bit early isn't it, specially as its so cold. If it is elder, those flowers should flatten out into the typical elder flowers.

I think that the leaves are too serated and too long and narrow for the common elder. However, there are many different species of Sambucus and it could be one of these.

I think if you google this link you will see the Red Elderberry Tree (Sambucus racemosa) it has a flower head which is quite different to the usual flat heads we would expect on our native trees. See what you think. http://www.treefrogfarm.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=55
