My magnolia was bought with a label Stellata, which as far as I know is pure white, but now in it's 3rd year, and again, the flowers have appeared very pale pink. Is that right, or was it possibly labelled wrongly.?

Our Magnolia stellata is pale pink and always has been, 'stellata' simply means star.

Thanks folks. I've googled all suggestions, and although it is difficult say exactly which one it is, I'm happy that is is not going to be one of the giant magnolias.
Looks as if it is either Leonard Messel, or Stellata Jane Platt (The RHS pics are really similar).
Hope you are all having as fabulous sunny weather as we are in Argyll today. (The sun cream is on). :-)

It is M stellata, but probably M.s. rosea or it might even be one of the named pink forms.
