what can you not plant together like pumpkins, cucumbers, squash, etc.

not sure what the question is? All of these plants need room to grow and lots of feed and moisture.....dont see why you cant grow these near to each other?

Perhaps you are worried about cross-pollination? Normally not a problem, unless you are saving seed from year to year. If that's so, pumpkins, summer squashes, the smaller forms of winter squash (turban type on down), and yellow-flowering gourds are all interfertile. Cantaloupes, honeydew, csaba, crenshaw, and muskmelons form another interfertile group. Watermelons, white-flowered gourds, and cucumbers are all separate species, and will not cross with anything else.
