I bought a Acanthus Mollis 3 years ago and it's not flowered at all yet. Do they usually take so long to get established? I have split it up and put it in several areas in the garden and it's the same for all of them.

Mine didn't flower much either but it did spread very enthusiastically with very deep brittle roots. I hope you don't regret spreading it round your garden and is is very difficult to eliminate it if you decide to.

How big was the plant when you split it and did you do so immediately you purchased it? If so it may have been rather young to be split and is now trying to establish itself.
