Clematis bloomed early but strange colour?

Normally my 'Daniel Deronda's' start flowering in June, but to my suprise three bloomed this week. Strange thing is the colour of two of them are quite odd looking. The only way I can describe them is that they are a nothing colour really. I have my usual vivid purple one, but these two look beige and grubby/bleached looking.
Any one else ever experienced this before?
I was just about to give them a good feed at the weekend, maybe that's what they need?

probabbly as np said frost as the pigment was forming. if others are normal then that is most likely the cause. if all like it may be a virus.

Ooh, just checked again today and there's another one exactly the same and have noticed they are both on a plant I bought last year from Morrisons . (My others that are blue/purple are from previous years from GC). Must be a virus. Better dig it soon out as it interwines with other Clems.
I'm sure Skotcat yours will be fine.

did it flower correctly last year? If it didnt perhaps it has been wrongly named.

Yes, it did flower fine last year. Done some more checking over the W/E and it's not the one from Morrisons after all. It's one of the two from the GC!
