My oak tree is only growing on the west side. What could be wrong? I did see a patch of mushrooms near the root crown early in the spring.....

What's on the east side of the tree? Are you say half the tree is dead? Or that the growth is all leaning towards the west, which could be because of some large plant to the east, which is casting shade and preventing growth.
