Turning a bed into lawn...the bed in question, 3 weeks ago had composted manure added to it and some compost but now i want to turf it. Should i remove the top 3 - 4 inch layer of composted manure and compost, and fill with topsoil before turfing?
Basically i am not sure if the soil is too rich to turf on ?
Hope i'm making sense

No problem, you will have a very green healthy lawn!

It is not too rich for turf but is a bit wasteful. If the lawn will be walked on then the bed will probably be to loose, so before adding seed or turf walk all over it to compact it. I would then add a little bit of sand.
