What is the best or your favorite choice of natural fertiliser?
Just for some hanging baskets and a solanus crispum I have growing in a very tight space with not much surrounding soil so I know it's not getting any nutrients.
I also have some herbs that may need a little boost.
Thank you

For containers I prefer a mixture of fish emulsion and seaweed extract.

Your herbs shouldn't need any feeding, they grow naturally in very poor lean soil.

In containers, however, they may need a light dose, especially vigorous growers, such as basil, mint, and oregano.

Gaed - DON'T feed mint it is invasive enough as it is! Tugb. I think you are looking at your climate again, herbs naturally grow in fairly lean soils. Yes basil appreciates a bit more humus but otherwise leave them alone and let them get on with it!
Oh and as to 'natural' fertiliser the compost Bulba and I (mainly Bulba) make.

you can buy dry chicken poo which is a great fertalizer but you mite need a fertilizer that breaks down in water for hanging baskets .
