I want to grow a climber up a 6ft tall trellis, but it has to be planted in a planter/pot as the ground is concrete, can you tell me the required depth of the planter/pot for it to enable the plant to grow up to 6ft in height?

2 feet deep by 12/18 inches wide should mean the plant in the pot reaches the top of the trellis.

Rather depends on what climber you chose - Passiflora can do very well in just a 2litre pot. Sues P.antioquensis grew nearly five metres in such a pot last year.
