I have a very nice lawn, laid last October but unfortunately some dormant wild garlic started to come through. I ha ve pulled out all the apparent stuff but worry that there may be loads more way below the surface. Is there any weed and feed that might not harm the lawn but remove the roots of the garlic. Many thanks. Pat Williams

Unfortunately not - its a bulb and remains impervious to weedkillers. If its just one patch, its probably best to lift out some turf from the area, dig up the bulbs very carefully, making sure you extract all the tiny little ones as well, replace soil, level and replace the turves. Either that or just rely on mowing to keep the things down.
