I planted out 15 strong cauliflower plants a week ago within a few days most of them wilted and keeled over and the leaves went an off white colour. I have been growing cauli's for years now and I never seen this problem before, some of them seem to be recovering now and the only thing I can think of is cold wet soil and the low temperatures for the first few nights they were out. Any suggestions

I agree with you Fred. Cold wet and windy with frosts at night. I have held back from planting our cabbage plants out just yet because of the weather.

Trouble is they don't usually heart up when they've had a check, so lets hope they are OK for you.

thanks steragram, bulbaholic and moongrower, looks like we are all of the same opinion. I've planted another tray to be on the safe side.

Good luck then - at least the weathers improving.

Did you harden them off before planting out Fred?
