Does congestion of tulip roots in pots reduce flowering duration? I really squeezed the bulbs into my pots last autumn, planting closely and many per pot. The root ball you see testifies to it. And they've put on a very fine display for me this spring. But if they were planted fewer to each pot so that there were less congestion, or even planted in the ground, would the flowering span be longer? (Looks just like Chinese noodles).

Yes, they do look like singapore noodles...
Provided you watered sufficiently well and often enough, the flowering period should not have been affected - overcrowding sometimes means some don't flower at all though.
