I have my phoenix carariensis in a medium sized pot and it grew originally very quickly. Now some of the new fronds are yellow and on the under side of some of the fronds, there appears a yellowish jellylike substance. I wonder if it does not get enough water, too much water, or has a disease. Also the pot size may be a problem. Anyone out there with the same experience or knowledge, let me know what to do. Thank you, G. Coward

Does the yellowish jelly like stuff wash off easily if you hose it down?
A photograph would be very useful...
