I have an aquilegia called yelllow queen. At the moment it is covered in little purple flowers' Can anyone throw any light on why this is happening?

It was a yellow one as it flowered last year, great big yellow flowers The flower this year doesn't look anything like an Aquilegia its small and round on long stems the flower is no larger than a thumb nail.

Are you certain sure that it is the same plant and not a seedling and the yellow one died, purple seems a dominant colour and the tiny flower seems to be a poor specimen

Sorry to say but its the wrong plant this somtimes happens I bought a load of Queen of night tulips and them amazingly I had two yellow and two red pop up with them .
Just thought... had your plant flowerd before and was yellow ??
