Old compost...

llew

By Llew

Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

When I cleared my shed out, I found half a bag of compost that I bought last year and never used. It's a bit dry and crumbly now but can I use it for anything?

I thought of laying my dahlia tubers and stuff on it in the winter in the shed, but would rather use it now if I can.

I should be fine to use Llew. At the very least you can spread it in the garden. It probably isn't sterile anymore if it was sterilized in the first place but there shouldn't be any weed seeds in it. It just needs some water. :o)

As it hasn't been allowed to get wet the compost should be fine to use now.
