how often do i water satsuma trees

Where do you live and are these satsuma trees in pots or planted in the ground, Mjsim04? Generally speaking, keep the growing medium fairly well watered in summertime, and feed with a special citrus liquid feed from time to time. It's probably a good idea not to let the compost dry out at all. They will need as much light and sunshine as you can give them, but don't let them get too hot. Lemon, orange, or almost any citrus trees can die if they are kept in a hot greenhouse or conservatory: much above 35°c for any length of time will probably see them off. You may like to mist them occasionally with tepid water, too, when it gets warm. If well established, they can withstand quite low temperatures in winter, but it's best not to let them get below 0°c for too long. They really prefer to be sheltered in a greenhouse or conservatory, but NOT inside a centrally heated house! Watch out for scale insects, and if planted in pots, make them as big as possible. Good luck!
