Help identifying this tree - taken close up photo today

I posted a question about this yesterday. When I went out to take a picture today I noticed it is larger than I thought, so maybe 30 feet tall and 25 feet wide. It has taken around 25 years to get to this point. There are loads of tiny white/cream flowers on it just now which cover the floor like snow. It goes bald in the winter.

It looks like Laurel to me? If left un pruned it will be in flower right now and the flowers are tiny and white. Many people prune so it never flowers.
