Identify plant - large green leaves no flowers
Glasgow, United Kingdom
Me again...well seen its a bank holiday! I transplanted these from the back of the flats I live in as the were getting trampled on and no-one bothering about them. They were just tiny pointed shoots but in about 6 weeks they have turned into massive leaves. The slugs like them (I'm trying my best to cathch them). Any idea what they are called.

These are called Hostas. There are loads of varieties most of which are haute cuisine to slugs !!
Slug pellets, course grit, eggshells etc, copper rings will all help to deter them but its an uphill battle. Generally speaking, the small leaved varieties (like yours) are more susceptable to attack. Could try them in pots too. Good luck.

They are lovely and worth the slug war, especially at this time of the year they turn lovely yellow leaved in the Autumn, they are very successful in tubs.
