I got one to flower in a pot once but it didn't produce any peanuts. You probably know that the peanuts are actually seedpods that the plant buries after they have formed.

thanks for your help. i planted 5 peanuts and 3 have come through so i am hoping at least 1 will do something

They should flower anyway even if they don't produce any peanuts.
