I inherited a smallish Choisya with this garden, and, since the leaves started out quite yellowish, assumed it was "Sundance". As it's grown, the leaves have darkened, so I'm not sure what variety it is, but it's doing well in partial shade. I have bought two little definite "Sundances" but am now not sure whether I should be planting them in sun or shade to get the best out of them. Any advice, please, anyone?

Thank you Bamboo - perfect response, as always. I was a little concerned that such pale leaves might not appreciate hot sunshine for the majority of the day.

How are you today Gattins, have things calmed down somewhat with you?
Drizzly jubilee weekend here.....

We have a bank holiday weekend here - "Festa della Repubblica" - always takes me by surprise, and all the supermarkets and petrol stations close! Yes, (fingers crossed) everything seems to be a bit calmer, thanks, Pam. It's VERY warm out there (29°c) but hazy and a bit close, so working in the garden is a sticky affair. It feels as though it should rain, or at least thunder, but nothing of the sort forecast until Monday. Weeding and digging for Britain this weekend - visitors arrive Thursday and want garden to look spanking for them. (And house - but it's dark in here, so who's going to see?) Off now to finish planting out tomatoes and earthing up potatoes again. It's all go here! Hope you all enjoy your Jubilee - any street parties going on?

I stayed inside and watched the Coronation on a neighbour's new and very small television, Pam. OH was there in the Mall, cheering and getting very wet! I hadn't met him then.
Thank you! Just drawing up menus and wondering what will be on the market stalls by Thursday and what will have finished by then.......These visitors are among our favourites.

Previous question
The one you've got may be Sundance - plant it in shade, and the leaves go green. Even the lower leaves in the centre, shaded by the upper growth, will be green on one that's in sun. So, if you want the leaves to be yellow, at least half a day's sun is necessary.
