My Delphiniums are growing well, but they don't have flowers all the way up the stem. There are some flowers, then a gap of about 7 inches, then more flowers. What can I do to get the flowers to cover the stem?

Thanks. I'll make sure I'm earlier with the slug pellets next year!

nothing i am afraid. they have probably been grazed off by a slug or snail. after flowering cut the spent flower stem off and you ay well get another spike later in the year.
