A friend gave me some Curley leafed parsley. Why is it now turning yellow after only a week?

Thank you. I am growing outdoors the same as my friend, I have watered it about every other day, it's in a raised bed with what seems good soil and I once gave it some very diluted to mortise. I have just moved in here and so I am not too familiar with the garden or quality of the soil although it feels and looks good. and also haven't gardened for a few years z(flat living). Other planted out herbs seem OK. Claudia

Sorry never heard of mortise - what is it? In general herbs do not heed feeding with anything. Was the raised bed and the soil already there or did you create them? Newly planted if you are in the south of England where it has been so hot it needs watering daily to start with.

I think she may mean tomorite Mg?
I wouldn,t give that to parsley

Tomorite is definitely not for any herbs it is used to help tomato plants to set fruits once they have started to flower.

Thank you. I did mean tomorite but my spell checker thinks it knows better! I inherited the raised bed - the elderly lady here before was a keen gardener. I water every day so will continue that until we see some rain (Hampshire). I can also get another plant next week and not feed it. Have not been here long enough to make my compost.

Lean and mean works best with herbs generally... Just water but not too much!

Have you watered it and are you growing it under the same conditions your friend was growing?
