Poppies.A clump of poppies has suddenly appeared in my front garden, some orange and some cream. The only thing I can think of is that last year I sprinkled seed from some welsh poppies. Is it possible that these are the result? If so a beautiful bonus.Thanks.

Meconopsis cambrica, Welsh poppy, is certainly orange and yellow and I seem to remember seeing a very pale lemon yellow, haven't seen cream but doesn't mean it doesn't exist. So, yes I would say these are seedlings from where you scattered the seed last year. Absolutely beautiful but unless you deadhead they will take over the garden.
