I bought this plant today...the packet said 5 Commelina, it seemed a pretty blue flower... but when i got it home and opened the pack there was 1, not very exciting piece of root of some kind... i had to laugh...any suggestions as to what to do with it???

Very pretty when it flowers, at about 2 feet tall. As said mollusc fodder and very tender. We lost all ours this winter, including the white version. If it flowers, save the seed and sow in spring like any half hardy annual.

This needs full sun, a well-drained soil, mild winters and no slugs or snails around! Might be safer to try it in a pot of gritty compost and overwinter it under glass
