Tubs are probably best as they grow to around 2 feet. Put them in a sunny spot near to where you sit in the evening. Some sorts look droopy (the flowers) during the day but lift up and open in the late afternoon and evening. So you might want to put some daytime interest with them. Cosmos are quick and easy.
