american dahlia tubers

Hi All.
I ordered some dahlia tubers from America.
They don't arrive as a large tuber but as a 'chicken leg' like a single finger with an eye from which a sprout was just visible.
Now, i potted these up in my conservtory, i am slightly concerned at this stage and need some advice. they all came up quickly but two of them are just single thin stems and i am concerned that they will not form a 'bush'.
Is it early days as they only came as a single 'finger' tubers or have i done something wrong... the blurb states that tubers in this form are sufficeint to form a full plant. ???
advice anyone.

It will form a full plant but in future years you will get bigger tubers and more shoots. take care of them over winter.
