1) will Artimesia grow in semi dry shade, and can anyone tell me what this plant is by description
large pointed prickly leaves and stems with bright blue small flowers which resemble forget me nots but larger I thought it was comfrey but that has bell shaped flowers sorry I dont have a photo one more thing the leaves have dark flecks on them

It depends which Artemesia you have. The herbaceous A. ludoviciana will take shade, but most of the more shrubby sorts like more sun or they will lean and get leggy.
The blue flowered plant could be Pulmonaria or 'Soldiers and Sailors'. Google for a photo to check.
