Our Black Bamboo leaves are turning yellow

They have been planted about three weeks and are in partial shade , the soil is a heavy clay so we have dug in plenty of manuare to add nutrients. They have been planted to provide a natural screen and are also in an open area that gets some wind.

Thanks for the reply. The manure was well rotted down and was dug in several times over. I think we will just have to wait and see what happens and keep feeding with blood and bone.

Its okay if some of the leaves are turning yellow, but if all of them are, well, I don't know. I planted this in someone's garden 3 years ago, in a windy spot, for the same reasons you have. I didn't especially manure or feed it, I find it grows like a weed almost anywhere. I think you'll just have to wait and see, although it occurs to me to ask, what was the manure you used and was it composted? Fresh manure should not be used for a year.
