Hi, There is a jelly oozing from one of my rhubarb stems and I've noticed a couple have some in the centre of them or a softer line of flesh running down the centre. What causes this. Thank you.

Thanks. I thought it might not be ok to eat so cut all the soft bits out.

another thought is sap oozing from insect damage. either way i just cut the affected parts out and eat the rest.
