Why are the leaves on my strawberry plants going brown?

I'm no expert by any means but if mine were going brown the first thing I would look at is the amount of water they were getting, Vegetables in pots or planters need quite a lot of water due to the confined space. My strawb's are in a pot but I've not noticed any browning of their leaves. Hope someone with more experience can give you a better answer. Good luck........Ian

Thanks for that answer, i thought i was watering them enough but maybe not because it does seem to be the lower plants in the planter that have the problem.
